The sudden and unexpected passing of Victoria Nadine Swearingin on Thursday, June 27th, due to complications from an asthma attack leading to cardiac arrest, has profoundly saddened all who knew her. She was only 34 years old.
Victoria, affectionately known as Vicky, was born in Salem, Oregon, to Robert and Leticia Villarreal. She spent most of her life in the Salem/Keizer area and graduated from McNary High School in 2007. Throughout her career, she held various roles in retail management, banking, and property management, culminating in her recent position with the State of Oregon.
She spent her youth actively participating in basketball, volleyball, soccer, and gymnastics. Victoria cherished moments with her close friends and treasured the times she went hunting with her father, whom she fondly called her best friend. She valued every opportunity to bond with him and create lasting memories.
In her adult years, Victoria developed a passion for spending quality time with her family and friends, indulging in shopping, and developing a profound love for bodybuilding. Beginning her journey in 2019, she achieved outstanding success, including achieving first place in her 2023 NPC Battle for the Eagle competition.
Victoria's greatest joy in life was her family. She met her soulmate, David, in 2009, and together they were blessed with two children, Kaden Robert Swearingin and Harper Nichol Swearingin. Victoria dedicated herself wholeheartedly to motherhood, cherishing every moment and creating lasting memories with her son and daughter. She was also an organ donor, a final act of generosity that saved and improved the lives of many.
Victoria was preceded in death by her cherished father, Robert Villarreal, her paternal grandparents, Hipolito and Felipa Villarreal, her maternal grandfather, Francisco Rueda, and her uncle, Jorge Villarreal. She is survived by her loving mother, Leticia (Rueda) Villarreal, her devoted husband, David Swearingin, her two beloved children, Kaden and Harper, and her sister, Veronica Nichol Villarreal.
