Timothy Alan Dieter, 54, died in his home in Keizer, Oregon. He is preceded in death by his brother, Jan, and parents Quentin and Bernice Dieter. He is survived by his wife, Kay, sister, Sharri Rich Perrine and his beloved dogs, Rusty and Maxwell. After graduating from Sebeka High School, Tim went to college at North Dakota State University in Fargo, North Dakota, graduating with a 4.0 average and obtained a MA degree with Honors. Post college, he and his wife moved to Oregon, where he attended Pacific University, and graduated with a degree in Optometry. Tim loved the outdoors and his mini daschunds. He was a venerable gourmet cook with a passion for BBQ, canning, gardening and landscaping, camping, fishing, swimming, sunsets on the Pacific Ocean, hanging out with his buddies, football, ice hockey, Jeopardy, Xbox, Frisbee in his younger days, foosball, table tennis, and pool he was quite the shark. He was THE grill master, made the best turkey soup for Rita and Dan's Annual Tree Hunt Parties. He loved vacations in Las Vegas and played cards and dice at home where he was the self appointed game chief and scorekeeper and usually won.hummm. Tim will be fondly remembered and dearly missed. An Oregon Celebration of His Life is scheduled for Friday, September 25, 2009 at 11:00am at the Keizer Funeral Chapel in Keizer, Oregon and a Minnesota Celebration of His Life on Friday, October 2, 2009 at 10:00am at Sebeka United Methodist Church where flowers in remembrance can be sent to the Sebeka United Methodist Church, located at 100 Jefferson Avenue, Sebeka, MN 56477. Arrangements by Keizer Funeral Chapel.
