Terrence Michael Welch was born in Portland, Oregon on May 21st, 1936, to George and Katherine Welch. Growing up in Portland, he attended Central Catholic high school. He was drafted into the Army in 1956 and spent two years in Germany. After completing his enlistment, he attended Portland State University and received a bachelor's degree in business. On April 4th, 1959, he married Gayle Marie Bossie and they were married 64 years. They had three boys, Shawn, Patrick and Darren. After graduating from college, he started working for the Internal Revenue Service out of Portland, then transferred to Salem in 1968. He worked for the IRS for 35 years and eventually retired in Salem in 1996. He enjoyed staying active with daily walks and often played golf. He is survived by his two sons: Shawn of Keizer, and Patrick of King City, Oregon and his four grandchildren, Shane, Brandon, Kyle and Shanna.
A service will be held for him on November 11th at 10:30 at St Edward Catholic church, 5303 River RD, Keizer, OR.
