Skyler Rayann Guillory

July 31, 1998 — May 1, 2024

Skyler was born in Salem Oregon on July 31st, 1998 to Carrie Lynn Guillory and Shawnako Wolfwalker Nelson. Sky was so loved by so many people. Her confidence and vibrant energy lit up every room she walked into. Her sense of humor was unlike any other and she could find a way to relate to and entertain people from any walk of life. She was a meme queen who was just as spicy as the Cheetos she ate. She was a free spirit who didn't let anyone or anything keep her from getting what she set her mind to. Sky always had a love for Japanese culture, which was very prevalent by her artwork, style, and taste in snacks. She also loved her own indigenous culture and attended many Powwows with her Papa (Jay) growing up. Skyler was always down for adventures, no matter what or where. She especially loved spooky adventures such as visiting Halloweentown with her mom or shopping at Spirit Halloween, as well as horror movies/games and true crime. She was very supportive and encouraging with anything mental health related or even just everyday struggles of life. Sky was the type of friend that could make you feel like no time has passed even after going months without seeing each other. Skyler's greatest accomplishment was her daughter, Athena. They understood each other like no one else, and Sky's sass was definitely passed down. I'm sure everyone will agree with the fact that the world will never be the same without her in it. Skyler was preceded in death by her Grandmother Wanda Nelson and her father Shawnako Nelson. She is survived by her paternal grandfather Evans Nelson, her maternal grandmother Debra Coonce (Dallas), her mother Carrie Guillory (Brian), her two younger brothers Cameron Nelson and Devon Hall, and her four year old daughter Athena Mares.
