Sharon Lee Gustafson

07/14/41-09/09/11

SALEM - A graduate of Whitworth College and Portland State University, Sharon used her education and passion to help create a better life for children working as a social worker and supervisor of permanency and adoption at Marion County Children Services Division. She was a tireless advocate for the best interests of children who had no one else to speak for them. She dedicated her life to making the world a better place by helping the next generation have a better start.

Sharon was an experienced world traveler and enjoyed visiting Mexico most of all. She loved preparing for the holidays and to cook, read, play Bridge and visit with her friends and family. There are no words to encompass the vibrant full nature of her life and her compassion. The world has lost a wonderful soul.

Sharon is survived by her daughter, Heather; sisters, Naomi and Sondra; brother, Doug; and three granddaughters, Tehya, Natani, and Kenzie.

Sharon is predeceased by her son, Josh; brother, Paul and her parents Gordon and Imogene Gustafson.

A Celebration of Life will be from 2-6 pm on October 1st at Sharon's residence in Salem. Email brady@preheim.com for directions.
