Richard Marc Labarthe

Richard Marc Labarthe went to be with the Lord suddenly on Sunday June 17, 2018 at the age of 61.
He was born in San Francisco, California on February 27, 1957 to Marc Jacques and Francine Labarthe. Richard attended Terra Linda High School in San Rafael, California. He followed his love for football and baseball at different colleges. Ultimately he achieved his Bachelor’s Degree at Sonoma State University.
Richard met and fell in love with Jenifer Bezanson. They were married at St Bede’s Episcopal Church in Menlo Park, California and supported each other through a beautiful 30 year marriage. Together they had and raised one son, Marc Labarthe.
Richard was a very caring and patient person. This could be seen at his job with the State as he helped people with their employee benefits. However, it was felt more so through all the different organizations he would devote his time to. Outside of the office, you could find him volunteering as a little league head coach while also helping out as a football coach at Whiteaker Middle School. The care and devotion he had for his community was also seen in his time spent on the Keizer Fire Board and running the Post 9 Legion Baseball.
When not devoting his time to the wellbeing of others, Richard would relax and enjoy his hobbies that included baseball, fishing, and enjoying the cooking channel on TV.
His dream was to make a wonderful life for his wife and son.
