Priscilla Joahann Aldana

November 24, 1981 — January 3, 2025

Priscilla Aldana died on December 20, 2024 in Salem, Oregon. She was 43 years old.

Priscilla was born on November 24, 1981 at 7:47pm to Iris and David Aldana in Glendale, California at Glendale Adventist Hospital. She spent the first 10 years of her childhood in California before moving to Oregon, where she completed her education and earned her GED from Chemeketa Community College.

Despite plenty of important positions she held in life, Priscilla was a mother first and foremost. Her children were her life. She was a devoted mother to Myra, David, Jesse, Isaias, Iris, Gabriela, Uriel, Gabriel, Jordani, and Liliana. Her love for them was selfless, radiant, unconditional and unwavering.

Priscilla worked at Subway for many years, until she reached a managerial position. She worked for the school district, providing assistance with special needs children, but believed her calling was in the medical field. Priscilla worked as a caregiver alongside her sister, Jackie, at Washington Gardens Memory Care Assisted Living Facility and provided hospice care to clients in their homes. In 2024, Priscilla completed a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program, taking the first step toward her dream of becoming a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) nurse - an aspiration inspired by her experience with her premature twins, Jordani and Liliana, who required care in the NICU after their birth.

Priscilla had many hobbies and loved spending time surrounded by nature. She enjoyed gardening and cherished family traditions celebrated outdoors. She loved camping under the stars, floating rivers, and swimming in pools born of high rocks. She found peace at the beach, and in the presence of waterfalls. Arts, crafts, music of all types, and photography all acted as vessels for Priscilla to capture the moments of her and her children's lives and share them with those she loved. She was a social butterfly, who never took her life for granted, with a special interest in inspirational books on personal growth and the gratification of sharing the wisdom she gleaned along the way.

Priscilla cared deeply about her family, friends, clients, and anyone in need. Regardless of personal challenges, she maintained a positive outlook on life, intent on paying it forward, always ready to drop anything to hep another - no matter the circumstances. She was armed with an incredibly generous heart. Anything she had, her generous heart readied her to share with anyone in need. She truly derived happiness from improving the lives of the people and animals around her.

Making her uplifting disposition and heart of service all that more incredible, Priscilla experienced tragic loss in her own life. In 2012, her father, David, passed away when she was only 31 years old. More recently, she lost her sister, Jackie, in 2022. And in 2023, Priscilla lost her son, Jesse. Despite it all, she continued to pour compassion into others and remained committed to self-improvement for the benefit of those she loved. Priscilla experienced so much life in the years she was with us, she always believed in redemption, never judged a book by its cover, and listened to people and their stories with sincere interest and an open heart.

Priscilla is survived by her mother, Iris; her sisters, Veronica, Delia, and Amy; her children, Myra, David, Isaias, Iris, Gabriela, Uriel, Gabriel, Liliana, and Jordani; her nieces, Alexis, Isabella, Elizabeth, and Olivia; her grandchildren, Justice, Serenity, Avery, Anastasia, Elliyannah, and Sabrina; her great-grandmother, Andrea; her brothers-in-law, Alex and Ken; and innumerable aunts, uncles, cousins, and lifelong friends whom she considered family.
