Paul Thomas Allport, of Salem, Oregon, passed into eternal life on June 12, 2015. He was 66 years old. Paul was born in Bellingham, Washington, and spent his childhood on the islands of Kaua'i and O'ahu in Hawai'i. He made his home in Salem and Keizer, living there for over forty years, raising a family and establishing his business, Triple J Roofing and Remodeling.
Above all else, Paul loved his family. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 47 years, Lynnette, and his three daughters and one son who are the light of his life, Julie Allport, Jennifer Clawson, Jill Taylor, and Carl Allport, who all live in the Salem-Keizer area.
He found great joy in his seven grandchildren: Louise, Timothy and Derick Whitewater, and Kinsey, Kendra, Kyler and Kolbe McNaught. He will be greatly missed by his sister and brothers, Mary Brewer, of Koloa, Hawai'i, Stephen Allport of Keizer, and Tommy Pruett of Martinez, California. His parents, Pastor and Clarice Allport, preceded him in death.
Paul cherished family time, and his family is comforted by memories of happy times together. He was a playful and humorous man whose ability to make others laugh is something that will never be forgotten. He never failed to lend a helping hand to those in need; he especially loved sharing his skills as a roofer and builder with others.
There will be a time for viewing and meeting with the family on Wednesday, June 17, between 2-5 pm at Keizer Chapel, 4365 River Road N. in Keizer.
Paul's family invites friends and relatives to a service of remembrance for Paul on Thursday, June 18, 2015, at 12:30PM, at Faith Lutheran Church, 4505 River Road N in Keizer. A celebration of life will follow at 2:00PM, at the Keizer Elk's Lodge, 4250 Cherry Ave NE in Keizer. Instead of flowers, please honor Paul by spending time with those you love.
