Patricia Annella Ebner

March 17, 1935 — April 10, 2025

Patricia (Pat) was born to Fred and Doris (Schnack) Geschwill at their home in Mt. Angel, Oregon. In 1943, the family moved to a farm in Woodburn, raising various crops and specializing in hops. Pat learned the meaning of work at an early age. One of her favorite memories was driving a McCormick tractor pulling one of the first portable hop pickers through the hop fields. The Statesman Journal photographed this, and the photo was featured in the newspaper several times over the years. Pat graduated from Mt. Angel Academy, Merritt Davis Business School, and attended the University of Washington. On January 3, 1959, she married Robert Raymond Ebner at St. Luke Catholic Church in Woodburn, and they moved to Seattle, Washington, where they had three children: Randall, Loren, and Diane. In October 1972, the family returned to Oregon and settled in Keizer.

Over the years, Patricia worked for Dr. Edward Leobold & Dr. Robert Anderson (Salem), General Electric Company (Seattle), Loren's Sanitation (Keizer), and the Salem-Keizer School District. Pat enjoyed gardening, dancing, genealogy, and playing the piano and accordion. She also enjoyed traveling to many states and foreign countries with her husband, children, friends, and family. One of the highlights for her was visiting her relatives at the birthplace of her father in Brühl, Germany. Pat gave her special love to her family and is survived by her son Loren Ebner of Missoula, Montana, daughter Diane Schelske, son-in-law Steve Schelske and grandson Nicholas Schelske of Aumsville, Oregon, brothers Henry and William, and sisters Louise and Rosalie. Pat was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Robert, her son, Randall, and her parents. Pat was a member of St. Edward Catholic Church. Keizer Chapel will hold visitation from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Wednesday, April 23rd. Pat's funeral service will be held at St. Edward Catholic Church on Thursday, April 24th, with the Rosary beginning at 10:00 am and Mass at 10:30 am. There will be a private burial for immediate family only at Mt. Angel Calvary Cemetery the following day. Memorial contributions may be made to the Father Taaffe Foundation and the Oregon Elk's Children's Eye Clinic.
