Mildred Ina Cyphert

Mildred Millie Ina Cyphert December 25, 1916 - November 5, 2008 Mildred I. Cyphert, 91 died on Wednesday November 5th, at home with her family in Salem Oregon. Mildred was born Christmas day 1916, in Buell, Oregon the daughter of Herman and Dollie Bennett Muller. Mildred attended school in Perrydale, Oregon. She married Richard Cyphert Sr.1941 and later divorced in 1972. Mildred's greatest loves were her children and being a great mom. She enjoyed traveling and went to Mexico and Hawaii. In Hawaii she would stay for a month at a time just soaking up the sun. Her other love was being with her 4 grandchildren and could be found coloring, playing music and singing with them. During summer months she went on several outings with the families and was often found in the swimming pool with the kids at her Son's home. Mom is survived by her son, Richard Cyphert Jr. and his wife Leatha of Salem; 3 grandchildren; & 4 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter Candace Calkins in 2006 and her granddaughter Valerie Cyphert, in 2002. Also preceding her in death were her 2 sisters Elsie McDonald and Mary Venters along with her brother Tom Muller of Dallas. A Memorial Service will be held, 10:00am Monday, November 10, 2008 at Applewood Retirement Community in Salem, Oregon. Memorial contribution may be made to American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association. Arrangements entrusted to Keizer Funeral Chapel.
