Lorraine was born on August 30th in San Pedro California the only child of George and Mabel Kennedy. She attended San Bernardino High school. As a teen she eloped to Salome, Arizona to marry Robert L. Anderson. They would later have two children Sharon and Dawn. They divorced in 1964. During her life She lived in San Bernardino, Pomona, and Santa Monica, California, moving to Oregon after retirement.

She worked at JJ. Newbery's, JC Penny ending her career with General Telephone Company (Now Verizon) after 20 years. Over the years she built many close friendships, spending her time at the Salem and Keizer senior centers, Red Hats, and Keizer Community Church. She loved to dance especially; square, line, and ball room dance were her favorites. She enjoyed working in her yard, keeping her home in tip top shape. She will always be remembered for her stylish look, her sweet disposition, and her love for the Lord, life, family, and friends.

Lorraine is preceded in death by her parents Mable and George Kennedy, ex- husband Robert Anderson, and daughter Sharon Anderson Kennedy.

Lorraine is survived by her daughter Dawn (Mike) Kohl, Grandchildren Kevin (Sharon) Van Buren, Blair (Kirshna) Van Buren, Chris Brown, Ryan (Lindsey) Brown, Andrew (Megan) Kohl, Jenna (Jake) Mayfield, and Erica Kohl. She is also survived by her Great Grandchildren Chelsie (Guyton) Galdeira, Jackson, Stacy, Kaia, Mia and Kobe Van Buren, Eli Kohl, and Lucas Mayfield.

There will be a memorial service held on Saturday, Nov. 5th at 2pm, at Keizer Community Church in Keizer. A dessert reception will follow at the church.

We would like to thank all the loving staff at Harmony House in Salem for the excellent care they provided her during this past year, an additional thank you to the angels at Serenity Hospice.
