Keith Arlyn Boyer of Salem, Oregon died on December 14th 2017 in the
presence of his family and our Lord. He was born on July 3rd 1937 in
Salem to Edna (Berkey) Boyer and Charles Boyer, joining his big sister
Jo Ann. He was very proud to reach his 80th birthday this year.
Keith lived in Salem nearly his entire life, graduating from North Salem
High School in 1955 and from Oregon State University in 1959 with a
degree in Business. He married Janice Pfeifer on May 2nd 1964 and they
had two daughters.
Keith worked most of his career as a bank examiner for the State of
Oregon. In his younger years, he enjoyed operating his own construction
company as well as snow skiing and water skiing. Building, fixing, and
creating gave him great satisfaction in life. Keith also loved studying
the Bible, meeting new people, playing gospel tunes on the piano, and
assembling puzzles. He led Bible studies and regularly volunteered at
Salem Alliance Church.
Keith's greatest joy was his family. He loved his wife Jan, daughters
Gina and Janine, son-in-law Christopher, and grandchildren Sofia and
Zachary beyond compare. We will all miss him immeasurably.
A funeral will be held at Salem Alliance Church at 10:00 a.m. on
Thursday, December 21st, followed by private interment at Belcrest.
