Josephine Elenora Ippolito, née Iacono passed away peacefully at the age of 88 on Thursday, June 4, 2020 in Keizer, Oregon. Josephine was born in Manhattan, New York, the daughter of first generation Italian American citizens. An accomplished seamstress and dressmaker, her career spanned over 50 years and covered five states culminating with her position at Pendleton Woolen Mills in Portland, Oregon. Josephine married Charles Ippolito of Brooklyn, New York in 1953 and their adventures included three children and moved to far off places including California, Alaska and Washington. With a desire to be closer to family, they retired in Keizer, Oregon. The world will not be the same without her light and her warmth.Josephine was preceded in death by her husband Charles Ippolito, Mother and Father Rosa and Cristoforo Iacono and her brother Lawrence Iacono.
