JoAnn Luthe, Loving Mother, Grandmother, Sister and Wife was re-united with her soul mate, Edward, on April 17, 2015 after a long illness.
Jo grew up in Dallas, OR and lived in many communities throughout Oregon before settling in Salem in the mid 60's.
She worked many years as a waitress (a job she loved) until she and Ed, her husband of 57 years, opened Salem's first wicker store "The House of Twigs".
A savvy business women with a strong work ethic, Jo eventually opened a clothing store that was dedicated to offering fashionable choices to women with fuller figures, "Tops and More". The store expanded to include imported and household items and the name was changed to "Tops & More Gifts Galore"
With her genuine smile , sense of fashion, and signature "big glasses", Jo was a woman who made a lasting impression. She had an uncanny ability to lighten any room she entered.
Jo leaves behind her sister, Patricia Swenson of Dallas, her three sons, Randy of Kent, WA, Rick and Russ of Salem, Daughter in law, Vickie, and granddaughter, Jennifer of Seattle.
At Jo's request there will be no Funeral. It was her sincerest wish that anyone who may have attended a service for her instead take an afternoon and visit a shut-in.
Arrangements by Keizer Funeral Chapel.
