Jean Marie Knospe

Jean Marie Knospe went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on the 6th of April 2018 at the age of 79.Jean was born to William and Maggie Krumheuer on the 21st of November 1938 in Spring Valley, Wisconsin. In 1956 she graduated from Spring Valley High School and later went on to further her studies at Phagan’s Beauty School from which she graduated in 1959.On June 9th 1959, in Salem, Oregon, she married the love of her life, Gary O. Knospe. Together they raised three children, Michael, Kent, and Mark. Throughout her life, Jean was a beautician, caregiver, and most importantly mother, wife and homemaker.Jean was known for her love of God and church family, growing raspberries, playing cards, hiking, amazing sense of humor, and spending  treasured time with her family and friends.Jean is survived by her spouse Gary, and children: Michael (Linda), Kent (Lisa), and Mark (Tina); along with five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.A Celebration of Life will be held at St. John Lutheran Church on Saturday, April 14th, 2018 at 11 am.The family wishes to express their deep appreciation for the Cardiovascular/LVAD team at OHSU.In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to OHSU Foundation LVAD Fund and/or to St John Lutheran Church in Salem, Oregon.
