Jasper was born at his grand-parent's home in Monmouth, Oregon to Herbert Ward Little and Evangeline Bertha (Willet) Little. He grew up in different areas of the Willamette Valley and the Oregon Coast due to the family following his father's work in the sawmills and woods. The family settled in Depoe Bay, Oregon in 1948. Jasper attended Taft High School and graduated in 1952.
He then enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and was stationed in Wichita Falls, Texas. While there he met Judith Ann Pointon and they were married March 6th, 1954 in Illinois where her parents lived. Jasper was honorably discharged in 1958 and then moved to Southern California in 1959 to pursue his career in education.
Jasper taught and continued his schooling and obtained his Doctorate in Psychology and Special Education. Jasper and Judith divorced in 1971. They had two sons, Martin Alen and Steven Eric. Martin died as the result of an ATV accident; he had two children, Megan Nash and Ashley Watson, who live in the Los Angles area. They provided Jasper with four grand-children. Steven and his wife, Lynette, live in the Los Angeles Area also.
Jasper was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Janis Kay Adams of Hermiston, and also his life partner Kevin Barry Kehoe. He is survived by his brother, Gilbert Ward Little of Albany, Niece Jody Wineland of Hermiston, and three great nieces and nephews.
Jasper enjoyed collecting fine art and listening to classical music and reading. He traveled worldwide and especially enjoyed Italy. His work in special education and research in HIV is nationally known. He had special friends in England and Scotland whom he visited often in past years.
