Janice was the eldest daughter of Wilbert and Grace Aman and was born and raised in the Mt. Angel/Woodburn area. She attended Mt. Angel Academy, Mt. Angel College, and Portland University where she graduated with a degree in journalism.
Soon after graduating, Janice moved to South Bend, Indiana, to work as an editor of “The Catholic Miss” magazine. Later she held a variety of writing, editing and public relations positions in New York and San Francisco. Janice especially loved living in New York City where she spent the majority of her life.
Janice is preceded in death by her brother, Ken Aman. She is survived by her sisters Sue Adams and Beth Reed, Salem, sister-in-law Karen Aman, Mt. Angel, nieces Julie Aman, Tigard, Sandy (Aman) Eder, Salem, Stacy (Aman) Sharma, West Linn, and Monica (Adams) Williams, Salem.
Janice had a zest for life and always had a smile and a kind word or greeting for everyone. At her request, no funeral or other services will be held
