James Frederick Bunce Jr.
died peacefully in his sleep
on September 17, 2022 in
Keizer, OR. He was born
January 19, 1935, in
Seattle, WA.
After serving in the US Air
Force, mostly in Japan, he
joined Bendix
Corporation/Allied Signal
where his work took him to many foreign
countries. He retired after a career
tracking deep space satellites for NASA
and JPL who awarded him for his work on the Apollo
and Voyager Missions.
James is survived by his wife Agnes Murphy Hoover
who he married on April 10th, 1994. Their marriage
brought James a family of five adult children and many
grandchildren who will miss him greatly. James and
Agnes traveled extensively enjoying cruises, RVing and
eventually purchased a second home in Yuma, AZ
where they spent 14 winters before retiring permanently
to Keizer. He left the world as he would have wanted
and will be missed by all who knew him.
