Harvey "Rise" Risewick, 75 of Keizer Oregon died September 14 peacefully at his home.
He was born in Buffalo NY on July 19th 1939 to Harvey and Elizabeth Risewick and was the fourth of of 5 children. Harvey served in the US Navy and Airforce. He worked for the Teamsters and was the Ombudsman for the State of Oregon. Harvey lived every day to its fullest. He was always quick to offer a hand or kind words and always wore a smile. To know him was to love him. His laughter was contagious, he always had a witty quote and his stories were epic. He lived big and loved big. His love for his direct family, extended and elect family was infinite. If you needed fatherly advice he was always quick to share whether you were of blood or not. Harvey was completely unconditional. He lived by the Golden Rule; So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you (Matthew 7:12) He enjoyed classic cars and traveling. He loved his Levi's and cowboy boots. His greatest joys were his grandchildren. He was survived by his sister Beverly Diet of Buffalo NY; children; Harvey Crow of Seattle WA , TyRae Risewick(Jim Falkner) of Newport Or, Louis(Leslie) Risewick of Keizer Or, Nicole(Jed) Dowell of Keizer, Or; and his grandchildren, Edward, Emily and Claire Dowell, Tristen and Audry Williams and Henry Risewick.
Per his wishes he will have a Military burial at sea. He will go out to sea on his final voyage and there may he rest in peace!
A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, October 5th at 11:00a.m. at Log House Gardens 5655 Windsor Island Rd N, Keizer, Or 97303
