Geri was a life-long Oregonian, born and raised in beautiful Wallowa County. She married her high school sweetheart, John, in 1942 and enjoyed 54 years of marriage, including following John across the United States while he trained to pilot B-17 bombers during WW11. John preceded her in death in 1997. Together they raised three children: Linda (Bob) Sisk, Jim (DeeDee) Bornstedt, and Jack (Ruth) Bornstedt. Geri was an adoring grandmother to seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Geri lived her last 42 years in Salem. She enjoyed many arts, especially calligraphy. She belonged to the Salem Calligraphy Guild, and the Joy of Living Bible Study at the Nazarene Church. In her later years she was able to do quite a bit of travel and spent time with friends and family. Geri was a kind, gentle woman who will be sorely missed by all whose lives she touched.
