SALEM -George Richard Switzer was born in Lafayette, Indiana on May 25, 1928 and passed away in Salem, Oregon on February 8, 2012.
He worked as a machinist for Perdue University from 1965 to1992. One of his hobbies was restoring old houses and he was also a proud member of the masons.
George is survived by his son, James Floyd Switzer of New Orleans, LA; daughter, Kate Switzer China of Salem, OR; and his three grandchildren.
