Everett Joe Haley born on July 26, 1924 in Estacada, Oregon, grew up in Portland, Oregon and passed away at age 93 on June 12, 2018 in Salem, Oregon. Everett attended Cleveland High School in Portland, Oregon. From 1942 to 1945, Everett served in the Navy during World War II. For over 40 years he worked as wholesale hardware and sporting goods salesman combining his love of sports and building everything. Everett married Jeri Burdick Haley November 30, 1946. He is survived by his son, Mark Steven Haley of Salem, Oregon; daughter, Cheryl Haley Johansen of Bend, Oregon; grandchildren, Tiffany Johansen, John Johansen, III, Andrea Jenkins, Melinda Nichols, Valerie Haley, and Scott Haley; and great-grandchild, Blain Jenkins. He had a passion for fishing and camping, travelling to Hawaii twice a year from 1989 to 2015, and fixing and building everything before it had a chance to break. Special thanks to Willamette Valley Hospice for their kindness and caring these past many months. Service will be held at Willamette Veterans National Cemetery, Portland at 11:00 June 28th.
