On February 6th 2017, Jean Turner left this world to be with God. It is something she has wanted for some time, but that does not make it any easier for anyone who knew her. She was the single greatest source of inspiration and strength for her family. She never ceased to amaze. It has always been easy to lose faith in the human race. Pick up a newspaper or turn on the news, and after seeing the horrific things we do to one another, we give up. Jean Turner was simply not capable of allowing that to happen. She was always able to see the good in people, no matter what. That kind of faith truly inspired those who knew her to try and see things a little differently. The positive energy that emanated from her was something you could feel. You felt good just from being around her. Her children learned patience and understanding from her that has given perspective and insight that most people may never be able to relate to. Over the years, she navigated the most treacherous of life's waters, and was still be able to cook dinner for her family. She was preceded in death by her husband of more than 50 years, Charles Turner. She was the proud Mother of 6 kids, and probably even prouder Grandmother of nine. She raised her children with the kind of integrity and values that were disciplines of her generation, and showed a kind of strength rarely seen in any other individual. She leaves behind daughter Terri (husband Clyde), daughter Ginger (husband Marv), daughters Linda & Debbie and sons Ned & Brian. During life, there are times when you hear people say "that woman is a saint". If ever there was a woman that deserved that title, it would be Jean Turner. God bless her and keep her.
