It Broke our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone for part of us went with you that day God called you home on November 12, 2022. Daryl passed away at the Salem Hospital as a result of a stroke. Daryl was born December 4, 1953. He lived in Bieber, Ca and was born in a sawmill in the small town of Burney, Ca to Chet and Colleen Babcock. Daryl grew up on a ranch in Bieber, Ca. Later moved to Salem, OR in 1975. Daryl was employed by Weyerhaeuser Papermill in Albany, OR for 30 years as a Lead Recovery Operator. He then retired in 2009. Daryl has had many health issues at the age of 16 due to Von Hippel-Landau Syndrome (VHL) a genetic disease. In 2006 he received a precious gift of life, receiving a kidney transplant from his cousin Jean. He was incredibly strong man, in spite of all his operations and recoveries, and still remained strong in his faith. The hobbies Daryl loved was to go to Four Corners gun club, and he loved hunting, fishing, camping, and loved to be around all his families. Survived by his loving wife Della Babcock of 47 years. Daryl was preceded in death by his father, Chet Babcock, Mother, Colleen Babcock, Son, Jeremy Babcock, and survived by sister, Martha Wilson (Gordon), Brother Steve Babcock. Daughters, Julie Swift (John), Jennifer Babcock, Lori Babcock. Granddaughters, Kaylin, Emma, Abigail.
The Viewing starts at 10am followed by a funeral service to be held at Keizer Funeral Chapel on December 4, 2022 at 11:00am. He will be laid to rest at Restlawn Memory Gardens at 12:30pm.
