Bruce Eugene Brietenbauch

Bruce Eugene Brietenbauch, son of Larry and Alice Brietenbauch, was born March 29, 1928 in Omaha, Nebraska. He died September 26, 2013 at home, surrounded by family, of complications resulting from Alzheimers disease. Bruce's Father died in 1939.
Bruce attended high school at St John's University in Collegeville, MN, then served in the Navy from 1946 to 1948. He returned to employment in Omaha. On March 20, 1954 he married Olive Gail Guinn in Sioux City, IA. The couple moved to Salem in 1956 where Bruce was employed by Equifax for 26 years, then Mitsubishi Silicon, retiring in 1997.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Robert, and infant son Thomas Eugene. Survivors include wife Gail; son James (Penne); daughter Kristin Schafer (Daren); grandson Benjamin Martinez; granddaughter Haylee Martinez Nila (Emmanuel) of Cudahy, CA; sisters-in-law Ann Brietenbauch of Omaha, NE; Betty Guinn of Loveland, CO; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family is so grateful to Willamette Valley Hospice for their amazing care and support, and they ask that any donations be sent to them. Keizer Funeral Chapel is caring for the family. Services will be held at a later date.
