A lifelong resident of the Willamette Valley, Brandon passed away peacefully June 23rd with his husband at his side.
Born in Salem Oregon to Denise Redding and Christopher Hanchett and raised with his brother Dustin. Brandon’s favorite memories from childhood were spent with his family at Detroit Lake, the Oregon coast and Sun River. He was very close to his grandmother. His enviable energy and outgoing personality made him perfect for the hospitality industry. He worked at Creekside Golf Club and Spring Hill Country Club where he enjoyed event planning. Later he worked for Applebee’s in management.
Brandon had a passion for cars. What started as a hobby collecting toy cars as a child, turned into a life long enthusiasm. He could spend hours with the sun roof open just listening to music and driving to no where with his best friend, Dani, at his side.
In 2015 Brandon met and fell in love with Elliot. They were married in June of 2017. Together they enjoyed hosting pizza parties in their yard, barbecues, kayaking, fishing trips to the family cabin, and large family get together. They spoiled their “children”, pets Rowdy, Lola, Squeak and Soy Sauce.
Brandon could easily be the life of the party. He always wanted everyone around him to be laughing and having a good time. His infectious laugh, twinkle in his eye, and loving nature will be missed by so many for years to come.
